Lisa C. Cox, ARNP

Lisa C. Cox, ARNP, is a board certified licensed Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has served patients of all ages with compassion and skill since 1994, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Lisa’s career history includes positions as a staff nurse, program director, nursing director, and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining Kavalier & Associates in 2020, she worked in southern Iowa in both outpatient and inpatient settings treating children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.

Lisa is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her diploma in nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in 1994. In 2001, Lisa earned her Bachelor Degree in nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences before going on to earn her Master’s Degree from the University of South Alabama in 2012. She has received several awards in the state of Iowa including the “100 Greatest Iowa Nurse Award,” in 2008 and 2013, “Best of Southern Iowa” Nurse Practitioner Award in 2018, along with the Iowa Hospital Association Hospital Hero Award In 2018.
